"Hi! I'm so glad you're
visiting Dora & Diego Homeschool Spanish.
I'm happily married to my
husband, Kurt, of 23 years. We live in the land of 10,000 lakes, Minnesota.
We are blessed to have two grown children one of which is married. Recently,
we've embarked on the new journey of being In-laws and Grandparents. Our 21
month old Grandson, Bryce, is the cutest thing you ever laid eyes on.
Bryce's Sister is due to arrive in October 2007.
We are members in good
standing with our church, Northwoods Assembly of God, and are involved in
Women's ministry, Men's ministry, teaching Sunday School, serving Committee,
Mission trips and much more.
About six years ago I had
my first opportunity to teach Spanish for a local Community Education class.
It was such a big success here in the northwest that I continued to teach
the class for three years. In 2006 there was a need for Spanish learning in
our church. Some of our members were going on a missions trip to Guadalupe,
Chihuahua, Mexico. Excitedly I jumped in to help. Next thing I knew I was
going with the team to Mexico. After being in Mexico and experiencing the
joys of serving the Lord helping the team I wanted to do more. Bringing this
wonderful Spanish language to homeschooled children gives me the opportunity
to continue."

Teacher, Curriculum
Editor, Mirdza Hayden
"My name is Mirdza
Hayden. I was born and raised in Colombia, South America, since my
parents were Lutheran missionaries in Colombia for 40 years.
I came
to the US when I was 20 and now live in Southern California with my
family. I currently homeschool my 8 year-old son and am doing some
preschool activities with my 4-year old daughter.
I
believe that knowing both English and Spanish is very
important and so I was excited when Michelle accepted me as
one of her Spanish teachers to teach a few hours a week via
the internet. I believe it will be a wonderful
opportunity for me to help others learn Spanish and look
forward to doing so with your kids.
Hope
you have a great day!"

Teacher, Rose Nino
"Hola, mi nombre es Rose Nino. I am
originally from San Antonio, TX but currently live in Layton, UT with my
wonderful husband of 19 years, Dan, and our Rottweiler dog named Rex.
I recently had the opportunity to quit my full-time job because of a
home-based business, that I was working on a part-time basis, that has now
become very successful. And because of this opportunity and blessing,
it has allowed me more freedom to do things that I have always wanted to do
like the opportunity to be able to teach Spanish, and also the opportunity
to adopt a few kids, which is something we have always wanted to do.
I am also excited about
the opportunity to be able to teach a language that I grew up speaking
and using throughout my life. I feel I had the best of both worlds
because my mother spoke Spanish (she is from Allende, Coahuila, Mexico),
and my father spoke both languages. So of course, he spoke English
to us kids. And to now have the opportunity to teach others is a
true blessing.
Many blessings."

it for one year) do it again. I enjoy drawing and I love
Jesus.
